Novel Premise First Rough Draft

This is the very basic fundamental premise. More in-depth, topic-specific articles to come.

Mars was terraformed. In its transformation the native Martian bacteria had to be altered to live in the new environment. This grew major controversy because the fundamentalists believed that the bacteria was no longer Martian. They believed that the bacteria was no longer organic in a sense and that humanity had trifled with the natural order of things. With the expansion of humanity plans have been drawn up to terraform titan. With the many low-gravity orbital stations around titan there has been a push to settle on the surface to harvest resources. Hundred of years of data was there but it wasn’t until actual atmospheric surveys were done that they were found: the Titans. Much like the Martians they were small organisms but unlike their cousins it seemed they were observed to have enhanced intelligence. They were observed having organized tasks and leaders, they even had forms of communication. Humanity is split. Many argue to find somewhere else, but many argue to harvest for the good of humanity.
